Detachable collar, striped long sleeve shirt. 100% cotton Italian fabric with soft subtle stripe detail. More than 150 years ago Mrs. Lord, in Troy U.S.A., snipped off the collars of her husband shirt, as that was the only part that required washing. As a result the detachable collar was created, even though the first one was sewn back on again. We make the process easier by using 5 individually etched mini Mother of Pearl buttons. Of course with the collar removed you will have a nice relaxed "grandad" collar, shirt option. The front fastening utilises the full size, individually etched, mother of pearl buttons providing a subtle individuality to each shirt, but just in case we have provided a small secret pocket, on the inside of the shirt, containing a sewing kit with a couple of spare buttons. The spare pocket is available to store anything else that you think you may need in an emergency.
